First: Any ideas for a real title?
Second: Yes, this is a found poem, taken from a passage in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby (a brilliant book, by the way). I, personally, do not consider found poetry to be a true art----these are Fitzgerald's words, I simply rearranged them. But, I suppose, it does have its merits, and it was one of the assignments for my portfolio. I was satisfied with the outcome---it is supposed to be describing a bird, and considering that there were no avians mentioned in the entire passage, I was fairly pleased with my resourcefulness.  |
