The Agean sun on your eyes and face,
you've found your heaven, it's just a place.
You're still running, you'll never stop.
Call out your song to the mountain tops.

The current embraces you and sings your song,
pulls you forward and pushes you along.
Your soul is the color of the sky at night,
black or blood red, a mariner's delight.

Honey into mead, does it meet your needs?
Falling and spinning, it's dizzy indeed.
Clawing and churning and gnawing at fear;
you've been running for so long, now home is near.

Sleep with your eyes open and glassy,
Now  you're entombed, under the sea.
You've found your peace and now you can rest,
sleeping forever in your Sunday best.

So. Apparently, I can write dark poetry. That's strange, because I am like, the least dark person ever. And I was really happy and upbeat when I wrote this.

So. Muse + happiness= morbidity.

Sure.

Also, this was written in my math spiral, along with another really good poem. But then I went and LOST the spiral! I was mad...>.< Luckily, I remembered this poem---I think. I have this nagging feeling that there was another stanza, but I don't think that there really was. But. Hopefully I'll find the spiral soon, and if there are any inconsistencies, I will correct them, if I think they are better.

Still trying to piece togeather the other poem that was lost...when I do, or when I find the spiral, I'll post that as well.

Not sure if I should rate this for implied suicide...I don't think so. So I won't. If you were deeply disturbed and scared by this, I apologize. I sort of was...I feel vaguely emo for writing it, even though I was all SMILEY AND HAPPY when I wrote it.

And yes, I am aware that "glassy" and "sea" is a LAME rhyme.

Deal with it.

Ooh, very cool. It has a very " warm" feeling to it.

Thanks! And thanks for the :+fav:

(It reminded me a little of your poem "Sea Wind", but I think that's only because they both involved sucide-by-drowning. The resemblance was not intentional, however.)

...Now that I think about it, there are some similarities between the two poems. XD Funky.

You're welcome for the fave.

I swear that was not intentional. Besides. Yours is much better XD

The ends are sort of similar, methinks. The last stanza has the same tone.
